Sunday 13th July 2008   10.30 am

The Race:
This is the to be the first Evesham 10k race jointly presented by Evesham Town Council and Evesham Vale Running Club.  The race takes place at the end of the Evesham River Festival and more than half of the route is alongside the beautiful river Avon and it passes over the river twice.

The Route:
The race will start in the centre of town, in the High Street, which will be closed to traffic.  After one kilometre, the race passes through Abbey Park and onto the wide riverside path.  Then the route diverts into farmland and back into town, returning onto the riverside path at the half way point.   Then over the river at Workman Bridge, along Waterside, back over New Bridge before turning back into Abbey Park and the finish in Crown Meadow.  The route is multi-terrain and is an accurately measured 10K.
